The Society of Portuguese Researchers in the Australasia and Pacific Region was created with the following objectives:
To locate and bring together Portuguese researchers and academics and develop professional activity in Australasia and Pacific region.
To promote the interaction and sharing of personal and professional experiences among its various members, for the benefit of the scientific community in general.
To represent, support and disseminate the PRAP community in scientific and academic circles in Australasia and Pacific, Portugal and in member countries of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP).
To promote, facilitate and encourage collaboration between Portuguese researchers and academics who are members of the PRAP community and universities, institutes, scientific associations, research centres and related institutions based in Australasia and Pacific, Portugal and CPLP member countries.
